Okay, ready? Billy Zane is Saylon, leader of an evil alien syndicate here on earth building a wormhole portal to prepare for a full scale invasion. Mark Dacascos is Rykker, an intergalactic warrior determined to stop the syndicate. And that's all you really need to know. I'm fairly certain that it's meant to be played straight but the scenario and dialogue are b-grade through and through and Zane has been chewing the scenery in this kind of stuff for so long that he knows instinctively how to wring all the camp value out of it. Dacascos, though, just needs to find himself a better agent although the producers here were at least smart enough to find excuses to get him fighting a lot. It's pure B camp, kids, and it's getting a world premiere at AFM.

Wow, that was crap-tastic!!! The production looks horrible. The direction is questionable. The fight choreography is like stuff that came out of the early 80's. Even the titles are horrible. Is this supposed to be a tribute to the old 80's "direct to video" action flicks? If so, then at least have the smarts to make it more campy. Dacascos has the worst agent ever! The dude could have been a major star, years ago. Instead, he's in this. All he needs to do is remind people that he was in Brotherhood of the Wolf to get a better role than this.
