An English Language Teaser For Franck Vestiel's EDEN LOG

by Todd Brown, September 17, 2007 10:02 AM

Well, well. Franck Vestiel's Eden Log just gets more and more interesting. While they're still playing coy with plot details promotional trailers are now available in ten languages - including English - in a move that is apparently not just about marketing but also figures to be a key component of the film itself. The trailer looks simply fantastic, the buzz is large and growing, and all signs point to an intense piece of philosophically driven sci-fi horror. Yes, please.

A man regains consciousness at the bottom of a cave. Tolbiac has not got the slightest idea what events brought him there, nor what has happened to the man whose corpse he discovers next to him. The only way to escape the creature that pursues him: climb to the surface through a series of paths with the atmosphere of a graveyard, abandoned by a mysterious organization: Eden Log.

Thanks to Frank D for translating the synopsis.

Respectfully. This looks cheap and a bit cheasy; low on art direction. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the trailer did not really impress at this juncture.
