Here's a chance for you UK folk to be part of history. The fine folk behind indie UK zombie film The Zombie Diaries and the Film 4 Frightfest are aiming to set a new world record for the number of zombies gathered in one place. Want to be a part of it? Get yourself all undead then haul your corpse to Leicester Square Gardens on Monday, August 27th. Professional make up artists from both The Zombie Diaries and Shaun of the Dead will be there to touch you up starting at 9am and because no undead gathering is complete without a bit of sex appeal the Mamma's Kittens Grotesque Burlesque Zombies arrive at 9:25. The official head count for the record attempt happens at 9:30 and will be followed by a 10:45 screening of The Zombie Diaries.

As to the film itself, we've been covering it around here for some time and I recommend it heartily. Arguably the most realistic zombie film ever made it tracks three different groups of people through a zombie apocalypse from start to finish, all three segments shot from a first person perspective.
