Yes, I'm overstating, I knopw, but this is a serious collision of talent. Rumblings continue about some sort of new project involving all of the members of The League of Gentlemen but while that continues bubbling away the individual members are hard at work on other projects. We've already mention a rumored collaboration between Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson, and Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's Psychoville is well under way by now, and here's another new League related project that features input from a rather impressive source ...

It's pilot season in the UK and while pilots on these shores are shown only behind closed doors things often work a little differently there as the different channels drop a bit of coin to match interesting talents then put the results on air to see what sticks with an audience. One of this year's projects from Channel Four is titled Ladies and Gentlemen. It'll be a Victorian era comedy starring the League's Shearsmith while the scripting is being handled by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, who created a little something known as The Peep Show. And if you haven't seen that yet, you really should ... it's one of the best pieces of UK comedy in recent years. Expect great things from this ...
