It's pilot season in the UK and while pilots on these shores are shown only behind closed doors things often work a little differently there as the different channels drop a bit of coin to match interesting talents then put the results on air to see what sticks with an audience. One of this year's projects from Channel Four is titled Ladies and Gentlemen. It'll be a Victorian era comedy starring the League's Shearsmith while the scripting is being handled by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, who created a little something known as The Peep Show.
