Anything new from Hirokazu Kore-Eda is a good thing and word has just hit that the director's latest, a drama titled Even If You Walk and Walk, has just begun shooting with a release planned for August of 2008. Here's the synopsis for the film starring Kirin Kiki, Yoshio Harada, Yui Natsukawa, YOU, and Susumu Terajima from the announcement in Variety:

The pic stars Hiroshi Abe ("Trick," "Trick 2") as an unemployed bumbler who tried and failed to become a medic like his father and is now living with his bride-to-be and their child. The story begins when he returns home for the death anniversary of his older brother.
