And it's glorious!
For the uninitiated, Serafinowicz is still likely best known as the voice of Darth Maul but his resume stretches much farther. He's an accredited member of the Edgar Wright-Simon Pegg cabal, with a recurring part on Spaced and major role in Shaun of the Dead. He played a key role in the criminally under seen How Do You Want Me? with Dylan Moran and Mark Heap - also Wright-Pegg vets - and finally got the chance to do his own thing with the deadpan-hilarious satiric take on British educational films on his acclaimed Look Around You which ran for two seasons. He's also likely even taller than I am - there aren't many who can say that - very gracious and just generally a very good person who is smart enough to attach himself only to very good projects. And now he cans his shot at UK comedy glory with a new eponymous sketch show that starts airing on BBC 2 this October.
Trailer's fantastic and though I know it'll never happen I must admit that quick shot of Jabba the Hutt costuming triggered a happy day dream that he'd somehow convince Ray Park to make an appearance. For some reason I have this vision of a Darth Maul hosted cooking show running through my head and the idea of the Sith Lord swearing vengeance on a plate of diced onions makes me giggle like a little girl ...
