I'm not normally a big fan of romantic comedies but I think I'll be making an exception for Petter Næss' Tatt Av Kvinnen. Why? Well, first of all, it takes a special kind of rom-com to land in the program at the Toronto International Film Festival. Second, the trailer features a sweaty Peter Stormare in a sauna, a situation I find immediately and irrationally hilarious. Third, is this:
"That was when she started coming around more often. In the evenings, right before I turned in for the night. She would sit down and talk. Talk about how much she loved silence, and how great it was to spend time alone. Talk and talk and never stop." (Erlend Loe)
That's a quote from the novel that is the source of this thing and it gives a taste of what you're in for. Good god, it's a rom-com from the male perspective!
