Seldom Seen update | SCARECROWS on DVD this fall

by Collin Armstrong, July 26, 2007 1:22 AM

The good folks at Sony / MGM will be releasing William Wesley's outstanding creature feature Scarecrows, reviewed here, on DVD September 11th, 2007. No concrete details on the disc just yet, though it's rumored it'll be a bare-bones release. No confirmation yet either whether it will feature the "R" or "unrated" version of the film. We'll keep an eye and ear out.

Thanks to DVD Drive-in for the artwork!

Sweet. I've been hearing about this film for years but never seen it.
What about Dark Night of the Scarecrow? That film freaked me out as a kid.

DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW is a really good movie; I'd love to see it released on DVD. It's on my list to review for Twitch sometime soon.

From Fangoria.com:

“You can expect commentary on the DVD from Cami Winikoff, the producer, [makeup FX artist] Norman Cabrera and yours truly,” the writer/director tells us. “Also included will be my original storyboards, to which the film is pretty faithful.”
