Well this one I didn't know about. Seems like somebody has gone and remade Herschell Gordon Lewis's cult favorite Wizard of Gore with our favorite nut case Crispin Glover in the lead role. Now I have never seen the original so I don't know how faithful this is to it but by the looks of the trailer this seems to be a more serious take on the subject matter than the campy gore fest Gordon did back in the day. The film also stars Bijou Phillips, Jeffrey Combs, Brad Dourif and Kip Pardue plus the Suicide Girls if you are in to goth porn.
The film has it's world premier at the LA Film Festival next Friday and you can buy tickets at the website if you are in the area and are interested.

I had heard about this before and I am a big fan of the original.
From the trailer this one seems very faithfull to it (even in some stylistic details), maybe adding a bit more exposition to the plot. I didn't see any need for a remakes except for seeing Crispin Glover as Montag. From the trailer it seems to me that he is imitating the original performance without looking like it so it feels a bit off for me... I think I'll stick to the original... although this could still be fun.
