I'll confess to not knowing anything about Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis graphic novels prior to word filtering down about the upcoming adaptation of the books to film. Whe knew there was a grphic novel about growing up in revolutionary Iran out there and that it was good? Apparently quite a lot of people or they wouldn't be making a film of it but I'm kind of ignorant sometimes. What can I say? A new trailer for the film, which premiered at Cannes, has appeared online and it looks to be bright, clever and a direct translation fo the illustrated pages to the big screen. Very nice.

Wow. This looks fantastic. Got the look down to a T. There are actually two books she wrote, one covering the years as a small girl in Iran and then a book dealing with her years in France. This looks to be an adaption of them both.
