While Alexi Tan's Blood Brothers -see below - will be the film to get the old school heroic bloodshed crowd all worked up into a knot it's Wilson Yip's Flashpoint - the film that began life as a sequel to SPL before moving in another direction - that'll do the same for the straight up action and martial arts crowd. I've seena lot of promo footage from this and it's positively jaw-dropping and anyone who criticized SPL for not having enough fighting will not be able to say the same about this one.
Anyway. Trailer. There's a new one. And it's good.

Thanks to Ulrik for pointing it out.

Oh man, I'm really anxious to see this. I gotta give mad props to Donnie for trying to push the envelope by incorporing some fresh techniques not seen before onscreen. The fight cheorgraphy looks methodically provoking. I especially like the part when Collin slams Donnie off a roof of a building to escape the arm lock or when Donnie throws a brutal punch into Xing Yu's face and we can clearly see it landed.
Wo Hu was good for something that was produced by Wong Jing. Probably cause he wasn't actually on the set for most of the film, but it's real decent given the state HK film is in.

glenn - give us some ekin cheng recommendations and trailers?... any HK you care to mention in particular besides these? always going to be those who don't know what you necessarily do, so sharing helps people to find those thing you might believe they should already be considering.
Donnie Yen vs. Collin Chou is more than enough to make me want to see this, but now I'm even more excited in seeing that superkicker Yu Xing, probably best known for his role as Coolie in 'Kung Fu Hustle', has a role in the film, and not only that, but Yuji Shimomura - 'Versus' action director and 'Death Trance' director - is also involved... Although I'm not sure whether it's a behind or in front of the camera role.

Ross' website helped me IMMEASUREABLY in navigating, and catching up with, most modern genres in HK cinema 1980s - 1990s - now.
Agreed. It's a great site...Oh, and so is this one. :)
