Sion Sono is a very strange man who makes very strange films and while Exte may not qualify as the strangest, per se, it may very well be the oddest. The film stars Chiaki Kuriyama of Kill Bill and Battle Royale fame in a story revolving around haunted hair extensions. Seriously. That trailer was friggin hilarious and made the whole thing look like a spoof of the hairghost genre. However, the reviews I've read have indicated that this film takes itself seriously. So either this is misleading marketing or the reviewers were full of it.
That looks REALLY silly, and whoever puts it out in the US needs to rename it KILLER WEAVE. Downright Tromatic.
