A World of Silence [조용한 세상], a black comedy starring Park Yong-wu [박용우] and Kim Sang-Gyeong [김상경], opens in theaters in Korea on December 14th. This is the second feature by 30 year-old director Jo Ui-Seok [조의석], whose debut film Make It Big [일단 뛰어] (2002) received favorable reviews. Kim previously played Inspector Suh alongside Song Kang-ho's local policeman in Bong Joon-ho's masterful Memories of Murder (2003). In another memorable role, Kim portrayed an unsuccessful actor in Hong Sang-soo's excellent On the Occasion of Remembering the Turning Gate (2002). Park Yong-wu, who has been receiving loads of offers since his performance in My Scary Girl (2006), in which he plays a college lecturer inept in love, also starred in the lukewarm rom-com The Art of Seduction (2005) and Blood Rain (2005).
