
When I was 7 years old, I performed one disastrously bad magic trick at a party for my parents, and promptly retired from the business. Nevertheless, I still find myself intrigued, entranced, and hopeful about Christopher Nolan's The Prestige, which opens in wide release in the US today.
Part of my interest is Nolan, part is the cast (Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman - so good in The Fountain, Michael Caine, David Bowie, and that Scarlett girl), and part is the dark gaslight look of the trailers I've seen.
Reviews are more positive than negative so far. Here's a 70 second clip from the flick to watch if you'll still stuck at work like me:
