This past Sunday, Tony Jaa attended the “work-in-progress” screening of The Protector (Tom Yum Goong), at the Museum of the Moving Image in NY (Astoria, Queens). The highlight was surely the martials arts demonstration given by him, in the rear courtyard of the Museum, and attended by the enthusiastic fans. Grown men were screeming like little girls at the sight of Jaa's mastery of time and space.

Here we got two brief clips from the demo. Thanks to Joe for the footage.

As a reminder, The Protector is scheduled for September 8 U.S. theatrical release.

I'm not gonna lie. He's a bad ass.

user-pic

He`s not so good.

The dude is awesome.

He is so-so.

I was there.... He is extrememly cool in my book. He was real funny at the interview. Being that he asked the people he was going to fight in the movie if they wre willing to get hurt, we asked him if anyone got seriously injured. His reply was, "No one died....."

Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung will always be i my heart though. Donnie is fast and precise... but.. shit.... Sammo hung is big but real fast too and with a lot of power... dangerous combination.

I saw this live on Sunday. These clips don't do him justice. I swear the sound of that elbow Tony gave that one stuntman echoed over into Manhattan. I wish some of the Q&A;session after the screening was on here.

he is doing the same thing as last year, will he ever learn anything new.

user-pic

nice half-mullet

Tony Jaa is good at what he does and I think he's awesome, but man he needs better scripts for his future movies. Not that I'm expecting anything Oscar worthy but he can do better. Hopefully he can keep things fresh and who knows maybe he can mix it up with Jet Li or Donnie Yen in the future.

I was there. He was the real deal. Most people doubt him, but he can clearly do more than what he shows. He has all my respect. His stunt crew was impressive too, they can take some hard hits.

Tony Jaa is excellent! I was amazed and impressed by his stunning Muay Thai and martial arts. I begin to admire him since his first movie "Ong Bak" and now his second movie " Tom Yum Goong". He is really a new Thai action star after Bruce Lee and Jet Li. He is better than Jackie Chan! I hope and wish to see Tony Jaa making more high quality Thai action movies!

tony jaa is the next generation of martial arts. with his stunt and muay thai combination his fighting movements are endless. i would like to see him go up against jet li. i would also like to see him do more film so the whole world can enjoy. i do say that its easy to compare him to bruce lee in the sense that i feel he is unbeatable. this guy is so amazing that if there were to be a game of him i would be the first to buy it. my opinions are only bassed on two film that i saw but i know hes just showing the easy stuff he can do.

Tony Jaa is awsome, ive seen both of his movies and i think he is a phenominal martial artist. I liked the protector so much that after the first time i saw it, i had to see it again the very next day. Tony jaa is a real bad ass.

Tony jaa is a good fighter. I like his moves very much. I can't wait for his next movie (ONG-BAK 2). In this movie he will do also the drunken style. I saw a little movie on tonyjaa.org He showed a little bit of that style, DAAAAM that was amazing :D

right now he is training for his shoots. He also gets lesson for acting. So ONG-BAK2 must be great.

HEY! TONY u r just amazing ,terrific ,simply superb. I saw ur moves and was very much impressed by ur speed delivery and accuracy of the blows. I would like to learn ur moves as I am a tae-kwon-do red I-belt holder & have won trophies for K.O. at interstate level.so any chance of trainin under u ? i was very much impressed by your style of kicking ,especially hittin your opponent with your knee-it hurts like hell.i was waitin for a good exponent of martial arts & i think u r the one whom i was waiting for as a teacher. i not only admire u but also respect u for what you are. i m 23 & would like to be your student but let me tell u i have left practicing but after watching u in the movies i have started practicing once again.TONY let me tell u -u are the best of the best ,i care a damn for those people who say you are not good ,people compare u with jetli but i say jetli is not worth to be compared with u infact nobody , TONY u r unique & i know u will stay like that & no one can ever beat u .i hav a desire to talk to you don't know whether that day is gonna come when i will be speakin with u .
