
Sony Pictures Classics have just released a trailer for American Hardcore, a documentary by Steven Blush and Paul Rachman charting the rise of the American hardcore punk scene, featuring extensive interview footage with, well, just about everybody. The trailer also spills word that the film will be premiering at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival, a fact I don't believe has been officially announced yet but it's right there in the opening seconds of the trailer ...

I'm somewhat excited for this, but everytime I see something that tries to encapsulate the spirit of punk/hardcore--be it a movie, or a novel, or anything--it comes off overly sensational and cheesy.
But the graphics of the US and the band logos popping up around it was some sick shit.
