It makes me a very happy boy indeed to steer you all to the official - and now fully functional - website for the Toronto After Dark Film Festival.

And what is Toronto After Dark, you ask? Good question! I'm glad you asked it! Toronto After Dark is the new genre film festival launching - appropriately enough - in Toronto this year. It runs October 20 - 24th and will feature a slate of international horror, sci-fi, action, martial arts, and cult films. And I'm programming it which just makes it doubly swell, now doesn't it? We're a ways away from locking program yet, but believe me when I tell you that we're going to have one mighty fine slate. Things are coming together nicely and Todd's a happy boy ...

You'll find a stack of information on there - information rather fetchingly laid out by our very own Opus, who is also the person responsible for the look and feel of the Twitch digs - including contact information and mailing list sign-ups, but the key - from my perspective, at least - are the film submission forms. Sure, I've already dug up a list of possible titles on my own, but the more the merrier, yes? And for all you aspiring Canuck film makers we will be screening Canadian made genre shorts in front of each feature. I know there are a lot of you out there making shorts and I expect submissions from every single one of you. Bechard, LT, I'm looking at you. Don't disappoint me. I tend to vent my disappointment through violence.
