A forty second clip of Richard Linklater's upcoming adaptation of A Scanner Darkly has appeared on Russian site Kino Express and while it's nothing more than a dialogue sequence between Reeves and Ryder it goes a long, long way to further cement my belief that this is a near perfect fusion of form and content. Linklater's rotoscoping technique just captures the queasy unreality of Dick's prose fantastically well ...

Thanks to Mike for the pointer.

Man, it's going to be a bit odd watching an entire film that's all wavy like that :D
when the heck is this being released in the US? I just saw a trailer for it last night before Art School Confidential and it said, "Coming
This Summer." any dates yet?
I don't know about the US, but since this is showing at Cannes this year, it has to be somewhat finished. So hopefully it will premiere not long after, all over the world.
I read it when the movie was first announced, now I do not know if I want to go see it, cos it may wreak the wicked book.
