Oooh, very nice ... just stumbled across The Call of Cthulu over at Greencine and it's well worth a gander. Classic Lovecraft shot as a 1920's silent and the trailer's so good it has you wondering if there's really any other way to film the man ...

The trailer does look really good, with a nice dose of atmosphere. Even the "cheesy" stuff, like using canvas for the ocean and obvious cardboard for the Cthulhu structures, fits well within the overall look. You can find a short review of the film here, and it's pretty positive.
This is one of the reasons why I love this site so much. I didn't even know that someone was making a Cthulhu movie. Sweet, so sweet. Now I just need to get my slimy tentacles on a copy.
