The Japanese official website for Yimou Zhang's Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles (Qian li zou dan ji) - a.k.a. "Tanki, senri o hashiru." (romanized Japanese title) - is now online, and there are both a teaser trailer and a theatrical one for the movie on that site.

Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles is scheduled to have its world première at the 18th Tokyo International Film Festival (Dai-18-kai Tôkyô Kokusai Eigasai) on October 22nd; it will open the festival.

The screenplay for Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles was written by Jingzhi Zou. The movie's principal cast includes Ken Takakura, Kiichi Nakai, Shinobu Terajima, and Wen Jiang.

Terajima is also in Takashi Minamoto's Until the Lights Come Back (Daiteiden no yoru ni) - which is likewise having its world première at the Tokyo International Film Festival, on October 30th - as well as Ryûichi Hiroki's It's Only Talk (Yawarakai seikatsu) and Jun'ya Satô's Yamato (Otoko-tachi no Yamato).
