Okay ... for a big stupid action film Shoot 'Em Up is assembling one frighteningly good cast. Word is that Paul Giamatti - one of the absolute best character actors working today - is in negotiations to join the film as the lead villain with Monica Belluci being courted as Clive Owen's love interest. Would I pay to see that cast? Why, yes. Yes I would, thank you very much.
I've been excited ever since I heard about this movie and it's concept. And then I hear Clive Owen is the star. And now they're saying we might be getting Paul Giamatti and the unbelievably hot Monica Bellucci? I'm definately in. When is this coming out?

I'm hopoing Shoot 'Em Up (silly title) is a better film...
Expect a big 'old pile of crap when this comes out. I actually sat through his last flick, Monster Man, because my girlfriend and I had trouble finding something good and decided to watch something that we could safely assume was terrible. This movie fit the bill; it tries to pull off funny/scary but pulls off neither, and instead succeeds at just being obnoxious and stupid. I imagine Michael Davis, writer and director, sitting and writing Shoot 'Em Up at his computer and asking himself, "What would be cool? Oh fuck, a shoot out during sex! A shoot out with a pregnant woman!" A fine action movie in the works from the writer of Double Dragon and Prehysteria 3.
