The latest big budget blockbuster to come out of Moscow is Kapitan, what looks to be a period set naval thriller. The trailer I saw seemed to have some problems with the sound mix - the dialogue was way too far forward - but the imagery is solid, particularly the underwater sequences, which look spectacular. This one's been picked up internationally by UIP, so look for it to be making some noise in the next little while ...
