Oh, sweet lord ... it isn't English subtitled, and it isn't cheap, but I may just have to get this anyway ... The limited edition release of Appleseed has been announced in Japan and it's freakin' gorgeous. What do you get? Well, besides the stunning box itself (click here to see a higher res shot of the exterior, and here for a high res shot of the interior) you get a second disc jammed with behind the scenes features; a 384 page book filled with storyboards, interviews and production shots; and a second book with artwork from the film. And you get a postcard. Can't forget the postcard. I'm sorely tempted to pick this up and just go hunting for a subtitle script online ... YesAsia's got it here. If you are one of the foolish few who have not yet seen the Appleseed trailer, you can correct that oversight here.
Anime fans are also going to want to check out this. That's the inexpensive Korean release of the Ghost in the Shell 2 animated soundtrack ... whatever problems GITS2 has, the animation and soundtrack are certainly not among them and I've already got myself one of these on order ...

I bought this yesterday but haven't seen it yet (encoding it for my friends back home). It's a beautiful package. Highly reccomended if you have the yen. And don't mind an unsubtitled version. (It doesn't even have Japanese subs!?). Oh and a slight correction: you get 3 postcards and a sheet of stickers, at least at retail.
