Hi Guys,
Yours truly here to shamelessly plug an event that I co-founded more than a decade ago. The Cornerstone Festival Imaginarium is in a large part a retrospective of cinema oriented around the examination of specific themes or ideas. Sometimes new films creep in but mostly we look back into cinematic history attempting to guage the moral/spiritual compass of our geekery. This year we're looking at the concept of coolness as it applies to the co-optive effects and context of commerce, and the community that ultimately bands together to create the iconography of cool itself.
All of which to say I think we have one of the coolest looking web sites for any film fest anywhere and it just posted live. Noted charicature artist Jason Seilor helped us create this magnificent zombie elvis and the whole thing is done up in the style of Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine.
Come to our event- if you are nice I will give you a t-shirt- if you are cool enough.
I'll be at Cornerstone this year as part of Flickerings, but I definitely plan on heading over to the ol' Imaginarium as much as possible.
