A trailer for Susie Au's Ming Ming with Daniel Wu and Zhou Xun - our first post about the film here - has appeared online and, honestly, I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Au has a histroy in music videos, which is enormously apparent, and a totally different take on the martial arts thing, which you might well expect from a female director playing in a dominantly man's world. It's certainly not short on style but the question is whether it'll be able to sustain itself over a feature length running time ... with a cast as strong as this has my hunch is yes, but I'm hedging my bets at the moment ...

Ouch, what the heck was that! Looks a tad lethal.
Interesting. O_o I'm still pretty eager to see this, though I agree - that looks a little baffling, and it's easy to imagine it all going horribly, horribly wrong. Still, fingers crossed. I'll watch it for Zhou Xun if nothing else. :D
i saw it at AFM and walked out after 20 min. (and i have a high tolerance for pretentious movies.) a few visually interesting shots but repetitious and definitely not enough story to sustain my interest beyond a few min. i didn't care anything about any of the characters.
What the hell was that? :/
Looks like crap..And the balls man, piss off with the balls!
She should stick to music videos. Upsets me, more money wasted on a director with no clue, while there are so many others just waiting for a chance.
Looks little more than a cologne/perfume commercial. And what's with that song? It sounds like "Die Another Day" by Madonna.
its a visually interesting film.
which is quite rare for chinese movies.
look forward to see it.
zhou xun is always quite impressive.
