Guess what? More 괴물 (The Host) news.
Or better, a few possibly important details. The great reception Bong Joon-Ho's latest work received at Cannes didn't stop the 살인의 추억 (Memories of Murder) director from spotting a few little problems, which will be fixed in the version released in Korean theaters starting this July 27. Bong went right back into a sort of second post-production upon his return to Korea. The biggest reason was that they tried to rush the initial post-production work to meet the Cannes deadline, but now they have a few additional weeks to work on the film.
A rep from producers Cheongeorahm commented that there won't be any major difference between the two 'cuts', which will still remain at 1 hour 55 Minutes, but between digital color correction, mixing and other small details, a few things will definitely change.
The film will have a Production Meeting on June 8, and its press screening earlier next month (I'm betting right around the World Cup Final), which we'll cover in depth. And if you're not tired of seeing footage and interviews about this film, head over to the Databank, where we added a few other clips. [Star News]
That girl in the poster... is she Go Ah-sung who played Bae Jong-ok's daughter in Beating Heart? Her acting is excellent.
That's her.
