It's ALIVE! Series Two Teasers For Greenwing Hit The Web!

(Posted In Comedy TV Trailer Alert UK / Ireland / Australia / New Zealand )

wp_greenwing01.jpgOkay. So I have a bit of a Britcom obsession. And, with a pretty comfortable lead - I think only The Thick Of It can really challenge it for my favorite show over the past year - the show I have obsessed about the most over the past year is Green Wing, the stellar hospital set comedy with the all star cast. Series one ended oh so long ago and Series Two has been in an extended holding pattern brought on by lead actress Tamsin Greig's pregnancy but now it's coming. Oh, yes, it's coming. Series Two hits the UK airwaves on March 31st and the advance teasers have started to broadcast. And thanks to the wonders of technology those very same teasers are now available online. They are grotty video captured versions, true, but they are the first new Green Wing in ages and Todd is a happy boy.

I loved Green Wing but can't help feel slightly nervous about this coming series. The last couple of episodes resolved a lot of the tension that kept the series so enjoyable and I wonder if they're going to be able to replace that successfully. Then again, it's closest relative, to my mind, would be Arrested Development (the similarly fantastic American sitcom) and that managed to keep its subsequent series fresh through sheer invention, so fingers crossed!

Part of me wishes they'd just left it where it was with the three doctors on a cliff, their lives eternally hanging in the balance. But the other half of me wants more.
