Tatsushi Ômori's THE WHISPERING OF THE GODS (GERUMANIUMU NO YORU), w/ Hirofumi Arai, Leona Hirota, Nao Ômori, Akaji Maro, Renji Ishibashi, et al.

whispering_gods.jpgThe official subsite for Tatsushi Ômori's The Whispering of the Gods (Gerumaniumu no yoru - or "Germanium no yoru", if you prefer back-transliterations) is online. The movie is in competition at the 18th Tokyo International Film Festival (Dai-18-kai Tôkyô Kokusai Eigasai).

The screenplay for The Whispering of the Gods (Gerumaniumu no yoru) was written by Yoshio Urasawa, based on the eponymous novel Gerumaniumu no yoru by Mangetsu Hanamura. The movie's principal cast is as follows: Hirofumi Arai, Leona Hirota (Hirota Reona), Megumi Sawara, Keita Kimura, Nao Ômori (he's also in Masato Tanno's A Day Beyond the Horizon (Itsuka nami no kanata ni), Eiji Yamada's Kagi ga nai, and Hisayasu Satô's "Imomushi" in the omnibus horror movie Ranpo jigoku), Takayuki Tsuwa, Genta Dairaku, Masashi Yamamoto, Akifumi Miura (he's also in Takashi Motoki's Smile (Sumairu), and was in Ataru Oikawa's Tomie: Beginning and Nobuhiro Yamashita's Cream Lemon (Kurîmu remon)), Akaji Maro (he was in Shion Sono's Into a Dream (Yume no naka e)), Renji Ishibashi (he's also in Su-jin Kim's Dreaming of Light (Garasu no tsukai), Takao Nagaishi's Masked Rider: The First (Kamen Raidâ: The First), and Takashi Miike's The Great Yokai War (Yôkai daisensô); he was in Kôji Wakamatsu's Perfect Education 6 (Kanzen naru shiiku: akai satsui)), and Kei Satô.
