It certainly seems difficult for Terry Gilliam to catch a break after his most recent project, The Brothers Grimm, got neutered by critics. But the director is keeping his chin high and shared these words with Reuters.
Gilliam said he was not put out. "All of my films evoke wonderful and bad reviews. They've always been like that. I like that. I don't like this bland 'OK' kind of film review and Grimm is no exception. "There are probably too many critics out there with really pathetic opinions," he told Reuters in an interview.
ZING!
Gilliam brings his much anticipated Tideland to the Toronto International Film Festival, September 9th and 14th. Watch for that review as our coverage begins this week.
