A while back we linked in to the website and trailer for Searching For The Wrong Eyed Jesus, a documentary featuring Jim White driving around the deep south attempting to explain southern religion while talking with southern novelists, artists and musicians. If nothing else the indie kids are going to want to check this out for the soundtrack: Jim White (of course), Cat Power, Johnny Dowd, The Handsome Family, David Eugene Edwards of 16 Horsepower ... it's a scary good lineup and the film itself looks fantastic.

It's a pity that 16HP didn't survive the cutting process and will only feature on the DVD. Just looking at the trailer and reading the content it sounds like a sad, sad decision.
Well, the band has broken up, after all ... David's in the trailer, so I assume he made it to the theatrical version as well ...
