Uwe Boll has evidently not been spending enough time reading UweBoll.com ...
Jaon Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Ron Perlman, John Rhys-Davies, Matthew Leonard, Kristanna Loken (back for round two with Boll) and Burt Reynolds have all signed on for Dungeon Seige, due to start shooting in Vancouver this weekend. How this man keeps on managing to not only fund films but to fund them with larger budgets every time out when every single thing he has made had been horrible and lost buckets of money is, truly, a Mystery Of The Universe.
Just stop. Please.
via The Hollywood Reporter wherein Boll's description of the film's broad-based appeal is good for a chuckle.
Three hours? Ahahaha! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha!
Cool.
How is Uwe Boll snagging the casts he's been getting. Sure, some would consider them B-list actors and has-beens (Ron Perlman is a goddamn star in my book), they're still TOO classy for the man. I can only chalk it up to the actors having a deep love of irony that not only matches, but exceeds the love of irony the average Boll "fan" has.
The ones that aren't alcoholic frat boys that take his films at face-value, I mean.
Uwe Boll served as a producer before he started directing and he must be a master at getting money. He should really just do that and let other people do the directing.
NOOOOOOO!!! Why, Ron Perlman, why??!
Dungeon Siege? Hrm.
Does anyone think he might be making horrible movies on purpose? Like a modern day Ed Wood?
I was actually going to rent house of the dead tomorrow *chuckles*
The game on which the film is based is remarkable partly in that it kind of plays itself. The player moves his character's party around, but the fighting is pretty much automatic. Insofar as one can play the game without really thinking at all, it seems to be wonderfully apropos as source material for Mr. Boll...
He's adapting Fear Effect. This guy just keeps picking up all these games... one day, he's going to ruin a truly beloved franchise. Not just the Bloodraynes or Houses of the Dead of the world, but something truly held dear.
And that is when his reign of terror (and humor) ends.
I love Fear Effect..that's such depressing news
You're right, it won't be long before he directs the next Final Fantasy film, eh?
OH NO Tony Ching Siu-Tung is now the action director/choreographer, now Uwe is bringing other directors down with him. It's his master plan.
