if sam says it's happening then sam is signing his death certificate. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS MOVIE. nobody wants to see it.

Most of me has the cynicism of Jason, but I felt that way after Evil Dead II, when army of Darkness came out. AOD (while not as good as EDii) was a success. I'm willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt.

Also, anything to keep Campbell working, byond just doing Spiderman Cameos, is a good thing in my book...Where is Bubba Nosferatu?

according to ain't it cool, sam raimi is trying to get park chan-wook to direct the evil dead remake. i was resistant to the idea of the remake when it was first announced, as it seems unnecessary and like some sort of fundraising project for ghost house pictures. but if this rumor has any truth to it, i must admit that a park-directed flick taking place in the evil dead universe sounds promising...

also, if there really is an 'evil dead 4,' then presumably the continuity will be w/ the studio ending of 'army of darkness,' where ash becomes a deadite destroyer in present day? versus the original raimi ending (which i prefer) where ash drinks too much of the time potion and wakes up to a post-apocalyptic wasteland utterly alone and cursing both himself and humanity.

regardless, i'm hoping that raimi makes this movie less in the cheesy screwball comedy style of 'aod' and more in the style of the first two (superior) films...

While the original Raimi ending could make for a ripping good film I can scarcely believe ANYONE would prefer it over the S-Mart Battle ending. "Jung- I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the store."

Jeebus! Don't let that Chan-Wook Park rumor be true. The comment in the article about bringing directors from abroad to Hollywood, to make "good horror film(s)" was ínsulting enough!

Also, I'm not interested in the remake and only mildly interested in the fourth one, although Campbell is always a joy to watch regardless of whether the actual movie is good or not.

it would be cool if they only have a small budget again, or else it could all end up like the new star wars movies :(
anyways, this is great news!!!
i'll go see it.

How i see it Evil Dead 4 must be done.. I feel like the only reason people don't like the first three is because it wasnt their generation. I loved all of them and would not only greatly appreciate the 4th one but i enjoy bruce as ash. I know it will come out and when it does i plan on seeing all 3 the day before and then watching the third one again before i see the movie multiple times in the theatre. All the people out their that dont like these movies SUCK!

I think all three evil dead movies are rilly cool and just becouse they have comidey in them dos not make them look bad I think pouting comidey in them blend's in well with it and i love it.
